Mitchell to Roma

Mitchell Muckadilla Roma - 31st July to 6th August

After our final Leg of the Great Australian Cattle Drive and with much anticipation we arrive in Roma. The beating heart of the Outback, the Roma Saleyards, The big rig, The Roma Court House where the trial of the infamous Harry Redford (known as Captain Starlight) took place in1873 after the captain stole 1,000 cattle and drove them into South Australia. Here is where we leave our 2000 steers and say goodbye to all our visitors and participants who made this event possible. But not before some amazing celebrations.

It is our last 7 days on the road with 2000 head of steers, with 775 kilometres behind us over approximately 85 days. As we leave Mitchell and head to Muckadilla and onto Roma, it's time to reflect on our time in the saddle and all we have achieved, it's time to celebrate our safe arrival into Roma and with all the cattle and horses yarded, it is now time to party.
